Can using near sight deteriorate distance sight when the pupils are dilated?

I got back from the ophthalmologist five hours ago (where they dilated my eyes with eye drops), and my pupils are not as dilated as in the doctors office, but they are still huge and will not shrink when I look into the light. I heard that if you read books or use the computers when they are dilated, it causes loss of vision, especially in distance sight (which I really do not want to lose any more of because I have myopia). Is it true that using the computer wears away at eyesight?
