Why do boys have to be so confusing?

So, i used to like a boy and we talked on aim and texted kinda, but then all the sudden he just ignored me and it hurt me a lot cause we where kinda friends. So then yesterday i got a boyfriend and on facebook it said " ____ is now in a relationship" and he commented it saying " so what is her name?" I know he was joking and not really calling me a lez but why would he ignore me all this time and now that another boy is in the picture he talks to me. i don't understand..is he jealous? or joking with me? i mean he obviously looks at my page to know i have a boyfriend and stuff. so help if you can...thanks. don't be rude. i'll pick the best answer.
