What does Holy Ghosts and Talk Show Show Hosts Mean?

I've heard two songs Nirvana - "Plateau" and Norma Jean - "Blueprints for Future Homes" use the line "Holy ghosts, and Talk show hosts" is this an expression? Does it just sound good? Is it referring to something?
