AZO....I am taking these pills for a yeast infection, but what I need to know is...?

Is how long do I takeit before I start to see results? And should/could I use a Monistat product with it. I also have acidophilus pills to take. And it is close to my cycle and I seem to be getting this "yeast" infection right before it. Is that normal? And what should the discharge look like? Should it have a smell?
