Inter-racial problems at the office Help!?

I work in a very homely environment and am very happy with my position, only the colleague who sits next to me smells of B.O. He is a tallm 6ft man who's jewish and has a lovely personality. However, the smell got so unbearable that I suggested that he would feel better if he had a shower. Instead of taking my advice, he denounced me as a Nazi and punched me in the face. I don't understand why he would do this. Please can somebody explain??
