5 year old Chi needs to be spayed?

I just brought her home from my sister. My sister got her from a BYB a few months ago. I want to get her spayed ASAP, but do I need to wait til she is more adjusted to the family? Most of my other dogs I have had spayed/neutered were mine for a while before I had it done. Just wondering what the precautions might be with her being in new surroundings. Not sure if it will affect her. My sister said give it a couple weeks and then take her. It is just about time for her teeth cleaning again in about a month, but I would like to get it all done ASAP so she doesn't come in heat. I am not going to breed her, and my sister didn't either, but got her while she was pregnant and didn't know it. She was severely abused, so my sister gave the guy like $50.00 for the dog. She is so sweet. Just wondering, is there anything else I need to be aware of with her have been a breeder? Any help is greatly appreciated! I have never gotten a dog that was at this age, all mine were still younger

Huge lumps inside my nose causing breathing difficulty!?

Can using near sight deteriorate distance sight when the pupils are dilated?

I got back from the ophthalmologist five hours ago (where they dilated my eyes with eye drops), and my pupils are not as dilated as in the doctors office, but they are still huge and will not shrink when I look into the light. I heard that if you read books or use the computers when they are dilated, it causes loss of vision, especially in distance sight (which I really do not want to lose any more of because I have myopia). HELP ON CHOOSING A GAME?

Can't go wrong with and CoD, but I'd wait on it as Modern Warfare 3 is coming out soon. I personally don't like the Halo games, but you might. ins Creed really isn't a shooter, though it is a very enjoyable game and I would definitely recommend it. Left 4 Dead is a must have for the sheer joy of m carnage. Bad Company 2 can get redundant at times but can also be hilarious and fun when bored. I cannot personally recommend GTA games as I don't play them myself, though Mafia 2 is a great buy. Whatever you get, enjoy!

Shimano SPD-SL pedals?

The other is that your parents may not be that good of riders or they are good riders and she was testing them to see what she could get away with--very common for horses. She's a mess when other people ride her because every rider is different and she's used to your signals. Whoever got on her may have been in her mouth or had too strong of leg contact or not enough. Your horse in not crazy, she's not trying to lash out, she's simply confused. The only way to fix this is to HAVE other people ride her and you need to be there for it. Put a good rider on your horse, have her attached to a lead rope, and just WALK the person and horse around. Make sure you reward her for every good step she takes and talk her through this. Next, put the person and horse on a longe line. You'll still be attached to her but it will be the riders job to steer her. You should tell the person how you ride her and help them along.

Has anyone noticed that the Coen brothers' movies have the same basic story lines?

Not to diss the Coens, because they are good directors but they say they like to subvert "genres" they basically seem to use the same plot in different settings. All their movies are about some insanely stupid planned concocted by dumb people, usually involving snatching money or something valuable from its owner, and everything that can go wrong, does. Think about it: Fargo, Raising Arizona, No country for old men, and burn after reading, each has a dumb character who steals/scams and pays dire consequences for it. They also have the same unstoppable, psychopath: the lone rider of the apocalypse, the swedish guy in fargo, the sheriff in oh brother where art thou, and antoin chigur. They're all basically the same guy! Again, the Coens' movies are good. I just think that they're copying themselves.

It's natural to feel like you don't fit in socially. Everyone gets a bit anxious over it sometimes. just be yourself, act the way you want, do the things you enjoy most, and let your "friends" come to you rather than trying to fit in with other people and stressing yourself out over it. Redline problem and tps sensor issue?

my eclipse was having problems starting. Sometimes it would and sometimes the rpm will lope then eventually die. So everyone i talk to said to change map sensor , so i did and now it starts fine but whenever i even touch gas it dies. also it only starts if the tps sensor is not plugged in and also when it idling below normal is the only time it wont die when i hit gas but redlines at 4000rpms(manual trans) anyone know if it the tps sensor can affect the redline limit and cause all these issues. open to anything. Ohh i also changed fuel filter and checked fuel pump.

I only say this because it might get confusing if you call Aphrodite Ares's progeny when in the myths they were lovers. Could this possibly be Anorexia Nervosa?

One of my friends, she's a healthy girl. She used to eat normally, but I've noticed since she's in my cl during the lunch period, all she ever eats is salad, gs, or strawberries. I know this isn't Anorexia yet, but I feel like she watches what she eats way too much. I always see her reading the amount of calories in everything she eats. I also found a journal in her room the other day where she writes down exactly what she eats and how many calories it has. Sometimes all she does is drink water or gatorade throughout the entire day or she'll have really small meals or just not eat during the day. She lost a lot of weight due to her Anorexia back in our freshman year (about 30 pounds) of high school. She's gained some of that weight back now and I think that she thinks that she needs to lose that weight again. Could these be signs of Anorexia again? She's always been small and skinny, but she's got a lot of muscle on her because of the sports she plays. (track, tae kwon do, etc) I just don't know if she could possibly be going through Anorexia again or if this is completely normal and she's just trying to lose some weight. I just want to help her get through it because she's fine the way she is and I don't think she needs to watch what she eats like the way she does.

Fish are all dying after filter bombed out, can't replace it right now what do I do?

OK, the night before last I cleaned out my fish tank. It was a bit over due but the fish were still healthy and alive. However, the filter would not come back on when I plugged it back in, I primed it and everything. It's done this before but usually for no more than a few hours before spontaneously restarting (or restarting when bumped). This time though, it isn't happening. It's been nearly 48 hours, half of my fish are dead and those that are left will most likely die soon too. The water is horribly murky now, and is looking pretty gross. To top it off, there are some sort of tiny parasites swimming around in the water now. I can't leave to go get a new filter right now, not only have I been sick but we are snowed in. What can I do at this point to save the few fish and snail that is left alive. There might still be a fiddler crab left alive in there too, I can't tell...

Guitar question - straps and metally sound - Newbie?

Spend a few $ on a proper strap (shouldn't be more than 10 bucks tops). Yes there's a metally sound to the strings and it's dependent on the make of strings you have. If it's the stock factory strings they could be anything. Recommend Ernie Ball Slinky 9 thou (pink pack) or if you like a brighter sound Gibson VR 9 thou. You learn to control the metallic sound to your advantage and embellish the sound of the note with harmonics rather than sounding clunky.

Too many cats in my garden?!?

I have a neuteured 13 year old tomcat. OMG. This morning after the garbage man took our trash, I see at least 1000 maggots in my trashcan. I don't object to anyone's sincere religious beliefs, even those I think are wrong. I do definitely object to people trying to p legislation based on their beliefs to make others who have different beliefs follow their rules. I have a HP Pavilion dv4000. I recently reinstalled Windows XP and now my audio is out. What do I do?

Before I reinstalled windows, my audio was acting weird. For example: I would switch tabs in Firefox and the audio from iTunes would become scratchy. Because of this(and some other stuff) I decided to reinstall Windows XP. After I got done reinstalling XP, I installed everything off the "driver and software" CD. Now I have no audio. Device manager says that there isn't a driver. I then told device manager to update drivers but the updater said that it couldn't find any. I then tried to find the driver manually at Altec Lansing's website but couldn't find it. I then went to HP's website and found a driver, sp29586, which is from Soundmax, but when I try to run that, IT says it can't find the driver. I don't know what to do and I'm just wondering if anyone has got an answer for me.

I think it's a lovely sibset, but Johnny & Annie sound out of place as nicknames, while the rest are clic first names. Plus, I'd hate to grow up with a nickname/diminuative instead of a full name! Even though I go exclusively by Gabi, for example, I'm glad I have "Gabriella" as a full name to put on job applications, etc. "Dr. Anne" sounds a whole lot better than "Dr. Annie", and she can still be called Annie by family and friends. Meds not working good any more?

Doc has me on Vic ES 7.5 and take 2/day for past few months--bad back. Now had a flare up and pinched nerve in back, he said take 1 addtl/day for 7 days. Now day 9 and back to 2/day...and the pain is bad. Should i take 3/day or call again and ask if its ok? Or should i suggest something stronger? I know my tolerance is probably going up. And I know they arent good for you.. I am just now starting a strength training program to increase my core and strengthen my back. But injured a preexisting problem about a week ago while working and pain level went up.. Any suggestions without preaching~

I want to add a 2 port motorised valve to my C/heat system. is it ok to fix valve on it side as space is tight?

In other words the Motor part of the valve would not be on top of the 2 port valve, but on the side. I want to do this so that I can shut off the water and have my underpowered boiler just pumping heat the the radiators (saving maybe 15000 BTU's which can go to the rads.) In the future I would like to see a gadget that transforms you to become invisible. This would be really cool because you could do anything you want to do, when ever you would like. Without anyone seeing you, or getting you into trouble. I would use the power of being invisible to get revenge on my sister travel without a ticket, scare and spy on other people without being seen. I would also love to see how various animals interact with each other without seeing any cameras or humans around. I think a lot of scientists could use invisibility for research reasons, along with police officers who could be invisible on the streets, to catch many illegal activities. The use of being invisible would not only help us in everyday life but also in our careers, and it would help us understand much of the world. But although there are many pros towards invisibility, there are also some cons. For example criminals could use invisibility to commit various crimes, without getting caught. And many kids would do things their parents told them not to do like sneaking out for example. However I still think that with some ground rules like times you can be invisible, and what purposes you are using it, invisibility can be a great thing for our society.

a violation? ...I received a violation this morning for "chatting and personal communication". Let me explain...Yesterday, just having fun and clean fun at that, I posed a few questions that were actually lyrics from songs. For example, do you like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain"? and Do you feel like I do..awwww that's true? Clearly references to Peter Frampton and Rupert Holmes. People were really having fun, not condemning others(for a change), no profanity and this is what I get? We all know there's obnoxious and profane language all over this site and more importantly these obnoxious questions and statements " STAY " on the question board. I just don't "get it". Should I get a hydraulic roller lifter or mechanical roller lifter kit for my 4x4 truck?

I went to NAPA yesterday for a rear main seal for my 95' Z71. The guy asked me if I wanted another one. I asked what was wrong with it and he informed me that it didn't have a title and has a collapsed lifter. I didn't ask how many miles it has but he only wants $500 for it. I can probably get another truck like it from an auto salvage and get a salvage title for that one and use the title for the one that needs the lifter. I've got enough mechanical ability and a 'Haynes' repair manual for the truck but it doesn't have instructions for the lifters. I looked under the valve train section and there isn't anything there either. Any advice?

I keep falling for straight guys!?

I grew up in a small town, hung out with a bunch of jocks, I played sports my whole life but I was also really into drama and so eventually my interests fell more into that spectrum, oddly enough I was never ridiculed for this, probably because the town is a suburb of a much larger liberal minded city (I live in Canada). Anyhow, I continued to hang out with the same people, go to the same parties, and so on and so forth. So I think this is the reason that I find to this day I am constantly falling for the straight jock type guy, which wouldn't be too far out of my reach I mean I am tall, in good shape, good looking... if it weren't for that pesky little thing... THEY'RE STRAIGHT! Point being I am constantly falling for straight guys, rarely find myself attracted to other gay men, and for the most part I get along with other gay guys but don't have any in my close circle of friends as it's hard for me to relate to most gay men or gay culture overall. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Does anyone else ever feel like they are the only non flamer out there? Any uplifting words? Anything? I just feel like I am never going to find a guy that I am really attracted to, that I'll want to be with, that'll want to be with me. Now it is time to pay quarterly self-employment taxes and I don't know whether to pay the taxes under my own SSN or under the EIN I created. If I use my own SSN to pay the self-employment taxes, then how will the IRS connect my SSN with the EIN which has had payments reported to it? Sounds like you are pretty good on equipment. I didn't see any kind of powerhead or other means of moving water listed. Might want to throw some pumps in there to get some movement in the water column. As the other guy said if you are planning on keeping those corals or an anenome in there you are going to need at least power compact lighting. Remember these animals require light for survival. Other then that I might throw in some cleanup critters like snails or hermits as they will come in very handy with all those fish. My advice is just to go slow. Obviously don't add all of those fish in at the same time. You will want the tank to be fairly established before you think of adding the anenome and corals in. I might also consider not putting the tang in as they can get pretty large and require a good amount of swimming room which a 55 does not provide. Also don't ever dose what you cant test for. Make sure you have good quality tests. Good luck.
